Crafting is a huge part of The First Berserker Khazan, and is unlocked relatively early on in the game’s campaign. However, the process to unlock it is a fair bit more involved, and requires visiting Qazumaka the Blacksmith first.

Unlocking crafting
To unlock crafting, players must have beat Aratra first – the fifth major boss of the game. This should introduce players to Qazumaka. Speak with him in the Crevice, and locate his hammer for him (under the ‘Blacksmith’s Heirloom’ quest).
Give him the hammer once you find it to unlock the crafting table, which can now be used to create new sets of gear for your character.
Where to get armor set scrolls
Crafting special armor requires the use of set blueprints, which can be found scattered across the game’s map. While certain sets can be completed by simply progressing through missions, others can be rather hard to find, and are hidden or locked behind objectives.
Regardless, these still require a set amount of materials to craft. These materials can be collected by framing endgame bosses for drops.
However, this only applies to rarer materials, and the more common ones can be obtained simply by dismantling existing equipment.
How to enhance your equipment
Augmenting equipment improves its level by one, and is essential for those endgame builds, where every little bit of damage makes the fight all more easier to deal with. Weapon augmentation is unlocked once players complete Kaleido’s side quest, and can be rather difficult, so make sure you are well prepared for the battles.
To augment a weapon, simply consume gear of similar levels (of the same type). This is also a great way to get rid of useless gear collected during your playthrough.
