The Space update in Roblox’s Dig It has you building a rocket and taking off to the moon for new shovels and artifacts. Elements like Alien Goo have also been added with this event, and without the right guidance, you can very easily be overwhelmed.

So, here’s a rundown of everything you need to do to complete the Space update in Dig It, including detailed explanations on how to build a rocket, get alien goo, and unlock the brand-new shovels.

Items to make Rocket in Dig It

First things first, you have to head to the launch site (new area added with Space update) and talk to the Mingus Neil NPC. He’ll ask you to submit the following items:

  1. Titanium Plating x100
  2. Rocket Fuel x10
  3. Rocket Thruster x7
  4. Rocket Wing x2
  5. Rocket Engine x1
  6. Astronaut Helmet x1

All these items can be unlocked and collected simply by digging at the launch site. Of course, based on your tool and efficiency, the time required to obtain all materials will vary.

Now, after collecting all the materials, revisit Mingus Neil and launch the rocket. A cutscene should begin, and you’ll land on the moon.

The Moon is another new area added to the game with the Space update. From Alien Cheese and Moon Rock to Sputnik and Space Slug, there’s a wide variety of new items that you can unlock by digging here. A total of 32 new items are available.

On The Moon, you’ll get the option to purchase these shovels too:

  • Galaxy Shovel – 1,100,000 in-game Cash
  • Alien Shovel – 75,252 in-game Cash and 10 Alien Goo
  • Black Hole Shovel – 2,500,000 in-game Cash and 90 Alien Goo

How to get Alien Goo in Dig It Space update

Follow these steps to collect Alien Goo in Dig It:

  1. Roam around the moon and look for UFOs in the sky.
  2. The UFOs will randomly drop aliens.
  3. Go near these aliens and jump on them to push them to the ground and then dig them. Upon using the shovel, a bar will appear, and you must ensure that the cursor stays on the moving circle. The image below will explain this better.
  4. If you successfully place the cursor on the moving area, you’ll be rewarded with Alien Goo.

A method to boost your collection is to use the Dynamite Shovel, which triggers an explosion upon impact, removing the need to maintain the cursor on the moving area. This could very well be a glitch that the developers can remove altogether, so you would want to try it out as soon as possible.

Alien Goo uses

Alongside the aforementioned shovels, you can also use 100 Alien Goo to open the Goo Gacha box, which contains nine unique artifacts. These include the Lightsaber, Classic Laser Gun, Alien Whoopee Cushion, Alien Guitar, UFO Keys, Hamster Ball, Drakobloxxer, Jetpack, Portable UFO, and Secret Mole.

Purchase an Alien Box and place it on the ground from your inventory to trigger the gacha animation. Once it ends, you’ll get one of the nine artifacts.

With that, you have everything about the Space event in Dig It at your disposal.
