4 things to expect from Apple’s Let Loose Event

The Let Loose Event from Apple is right around the corner and even though we don’t have the exact details out yet, here are some of the expected things we can see that can be revealed on May 7, 2024.

Unlike other mainstream annual Apple Events like WWDC and new iPhone reveals, Let Loose will tell us something different. The official logo has a palette that features multiple colors but the most eye-catching aspect is the little hand holding an Apple Pencil.

Like other times, Apple has left most of the new stuff for our imagination in terms of the tech involved, but putting the guessing game to the best of our abilities, here are four things that you can expect to be revealed during Apple’s Let Loose Event.

4 things Apple might reveal during Let Loose Event on May 7

Apple Pencil 3

Going by the artwork of the Let Loose event’s logo, it’s evident that Apple has plans to launch a new Apple Pencil. Even Tim Cook posted on X with a Pencil emoji which further confirms its reveal.

According to multiple rumors, the new Apple Pencil could come equipped with USB-C and new sensors. These new additions can provide squeeze gestures, mimicking real-life actions.

iPad Air 6

We might also get to see a new 13-inch iPad Air 6 based on the M2 chipset during Apple’s Let Loose Event on May 7. Since 2022, the M2 chipset has been the primary chipset for iPad Pros. These devices are known for their superior performance that’s also present on Macbooks that were released in the same year.

M1 chipset powers the current iPad Air, so an upgraded model would be the ideal option for iPad buyers on a budget.

Magic Keyboard

During the Let Loose Event on May 7, there are rumors of Apple releasing a new Magic Keyboard that will rock an aluminium body and a trackpad much bigger than the current keyboards for iPads. A body made of aluminium will also ensure the keyboard is lightweight yet durable.

iPads have been having USB-C ports since 2018 and now that the latest iPhone 15 models are also equipped with the same ports, the Magic Keyboard could also come equipped with a similar structure.

OLED iPad Pro

Lastly, 2024’s iPad Pro will arguably be the highlight release of Apple’s Let Loose Event on May 7. It will be the 7th gen of the iPad Pro lineup and will come equipped with bright and vibrant OLED screens, instead of LCD and mini-LED panels.

While it was previously believed that the OLED iPad Pro will come with the M3 chip, new rumors say that it’ll ditch M3 for the upgraded M4 chips this year.
