So if you are looking to learn more about the upcoming drop, below is a guide on everything that you can expect and look forward to.

Marvel Rivals Season 0 “Doom’s Rise” start date

Marvel Rivals’ very first season (or rather preseason) Season 0, “Doom’s Rise”, will be going live with the official release of the game on December 6, 2024. However, unlike the future regular seasons, Season 0 will not last as long and is expected to end in early January 2025. That is when Season 1 will kick off.

The developers have confirmed that from Season 1, every future season will last for three months and you can expect Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 to go live sometime in April 2025.

What to expect from Marvel Rivals Season 0 “Doom’s Rise”?

1) More characters will be added to the roster

While there were only 26 playable characters in the Marvel Rivals beta, NetEase has confirmed that the official release of the game with Season 0 will feature a total of 33 heroes. While some of the new additions have been confirmed, there are only leaks and speculations about the rest.

That being said, each of these heroes boasts unique abilities and team-up potential that opens up a lot of gameplay variety.

2) New maps

Along with new characters, new maps will also be added to Marvel Rivals with Season 0. The beta period of the MOBA only allowed players to enjoy four maps, however, the developers have confirmed that by the end of Season 0, you will have access to a minimum of eight Quick Match and Competitive maps.

Apart from this, the game’s take on the Team Deathmatch mode, “Conquest”, will also feature a full-scale map in Season 0. This will be joined by a Practice Range, which was one of the most anticipated features.

3) First Battle Pass

Season 0 Battle Pass will be the first to make its way to the game. It will feature a lot of cosmetic loot, but as you will have a little over a month to complete it, the contents of this pass will only be half of what a regular season will feature.
