The preview for League of Legends patch 14.17 is now live and there is a fair bit of balance changes that Riot is introducing to the MOBA next week. Some of the biggest highlights of the patch are the buffs that will be making their way to Caitlyn, Ryze, and Kindred. These champions have suffered quite a bit in the recent meta, and hopefully, the new changes will look to push their popularity up a fair bit.
There are a lot of champions who will be receiving a nerf in 14.17. Ezreal, Ashe, Katarina, LeBlanc, Pyke, and more will have their kit toned down. Additionally, some items will be receiving changes as well.
Here is a list of all the changes that you can expect when League of Legends patch 14.17 goes live next week.

League of Legends patch 14.17 release date
League of Legends patch 14.17 will be releasing next week on August 29, 2024. It will be one of the updates that will be centered around balancing the meta for Worlds 2024. The international event itself will be played on patch 14.18, so it’s not surprising that Riot will be looking to make severe changes to the meta right now.
It will be interesting to see which champions gain popularity in pro play and standard matchmaking once 14.17 goes live.
