League of Legends’ new game mode, Swarm is now live with patch 14.14 and players will be able to try out the temporary mode for the next couple of weeks. There are a total of 9 champions that you will get to play as in the mode.
However, when you boot up Swarm, you will notice that you will have access to only two champions: Battle Cat Jinx and Battle Dove Seraphine. To get your hands on the rest of the roster you will need to unlock them first.

- Unlocked by upgrading the Searing Shortbow weapon to level 2.
2) Battle Bear Illaoi
- Unlocked by upgrading the Radiant Field weapon to level 4.
3) Primordian Briar
- Unlocked by defeating the final boss of the second map, The Outskirts.
4) Battle Wolf Yasuo
- Unlocked by defeating the final boss of the third map,The Subterranean Lab.
5) Battle Bunny Riven
- Unlocked by defeating the final boss of the first map, The Warehouse District, in Hard Mode.
6) Battle Bunny Aurora
- Unlocked by defeating 25 mini-bosses in Hard Mode.
7) Battle Bat Xayah
- Unlocked by completing a total of 20 Bel’Veth Trials.
How to upgrade Champions in League of Legends Swarm
As you make your way through a map and complete the various objectives, you will be able to get your hands on old. Gold is one of the many key resources in Swarm and you will be able to use it to purchase upgrades for your champion from the main menu.
These upgrades will usually include a buff to damage, armor, max health, attack speed, and more. The upgrades you pick will depend on the champion, the map you are on, and the role that you are playing in the party.
