Black Myth Wukong Fox quest guide

The Snow Fox Brush transformation is a reward that you receive when starting the Fox quest in Chapter 3 of Black Myth Wukong. The mission is not that long, however, because of all the snow covering the fields, it can be rather tricky to easily complete it.

The transformation is considered to be one of the best in the game when it comes to avoiding enemies. You can use this to sprint around the region and head from one boss to the next avoiding any combat in the meantime.

As it does not consume any stamina when you are sprinting, this transformation will help you have a much easier time getting around.

Here is a guide on how you will be able to complete the Fox quest in Black Myth Wulong.

How to complete the Fox quest in Black Myth Wukong

Fox Quest start Wukong

To be able to start the Fox quest in Black Myth Wukong you will first need to examine the corpse in Forest of Felicity. You will notice it leaning on a wooden Pailou, and after interacting with it, the corpse will ask you to find it killer so that it can pass on. After exhausting all of the corpse’s dialogs you will receive the Snow Fox Brush transformation.

The Non-Void boss is the one that killed this fox Yaoguai, and you will be able to encounter it after reaching the New Thunderclap Temple. This zone can be unlocked after beating Captain Kalpa-Wave.

1) Finding the Non-Void

Once you have unlocked the Temple, here is how you will be able to find the Non-Void:

  • From the New Thunderclap Temple Keeper’s Shrine you will need to walk straight and then past the first red building.
  • You will find a set of stone stairs, climb up it to find another flight to the left that is heading down.
  • Make your way to the lower level and head for the balcony to spot a wooden bridge.
  • Cross the bridge till you find another set of stairs which will finally lead you to the Non-Void boss inside the building.

Now, to be able to round out the fox quest you will need to take the form of the fox when confronting the Non-Void. You can do this by using the Snow Fox Brush transformation.

You will then change back to your normal form to beat the boss.

2) Beating the Non-Void

Depending on th type of of playstyle you are going for, the encounter can be challenging. Although the fight is nowhere close to the hardest bosses in Black Myth Wukong you might stll have to run it multiple times before you can beat the boss.

Non-Void boss Wukong

Just be aware of the second phase that procs where the boss’ HP is reduced to half. The Non-Void will start spamming summons out of scripture pages, and they will act as homing projectiles that you can only dodge.

Stamina management is key during the fight, fortunately, the Non-Void will give you some room to get some attacks in, wo make sure to make the most of the recovery period after a big attack.

After you beat the Non-Void, absorb the Spirit and head back to the fox Yaoguai in the Forest of Felicity. The spirit of the corpse will finally move on and you will get the Snow Fox Brush Curio which will help extend the duration of your transformations when equipped.
