Dynasty Warriors Origins has a lot of stuff to do outside of combat, one of which would be collecting Old Coins. Old Coins are somewhat hard to find at first, and are usually handed out while exploring the game world.
These coins quickly pile up in the late game, and have multiple uses – which can be found discussed below.

This particular NPC can be interacted with once you complete the Suppression of You Province, Jing Province and Liang Province in Chapter 2 of the campaign – and make your way back to the city.
How to get more Old Coins in Dynasty Warriors Origins
In short, the following sources exist for Old Coins in the Musou game:
- Can be found randomly scattered across the overworld.
- Can be collected after completing certain Bond Interactions with your Companions and/or Officers.
- Collected as a part of the Regional Peace rewards at Waypoints.
- Obtained as a reward from the ‘Letters in the Inn’ in crucial story segments.
One thing to keep in mind while searching for Old Coins in the overworld is that their in-game indicator is quite small and easily missable. Additionally, the indicator is prone to flash only once and has quite a short range.
Just play through the game normally and you should have a surplus of coins in no time.
