Like most modern MMORPGs, the upcoming Brighter Shores features a battle pass. This battle pass consists of a premium tier which requires spending real-world money in order to obtain some in-game goodies.
While the pass does come with some useful additions, the entry price (and multiple tiers) can be off-putting for some. Readers can find a breakdown of the multiple tiers and its benefits in the section below, along with a final verdict on its worth.
All Brighter Shores Premium Battle Pass tiers

There are a total of 2 tiers available for the battle pass:
- Free Tier: The default tier that is accessible for every player
- Premium Tier: This tier is locked behind a subscription model, and lasts for 30 days.
A 30 day Premium Tier pass will cost you around $6, and consists of a recurring subscription.
Brighter Shores thankfully also allows players to subscribe to the pass for a longer period of time, which can be useful if you want a one-time purchase and/or want to save some effort overall:
- 90 day sub: Costs $26; one-time payment
- 365 day/1 year sub: Costs $80; one-time payment
Interestingly, purchasing the 90 or 365 day sub is more expensive than buying a recurring subscription. As such, readers are advised to go with the 30-day sub instead.
Should you buy the Premium Pass for Brighter Shores?
The Brighter Shores Premium Pass is worth buying, especially if you plan on grinding through the game’s content for a while – and thus play long-term.
The Pass comes with many in-game unlocks and upgrades that should enhance your overall experience – including the contents of Chapter 3 and beyond. Players might find it better to wait until they complete both Hopeport and Hopeforest before purchasing the pass.
The pass comes with the following perks/unlocks:
- Hopeport
- Hopeforest
- Mine of Mantuban
- Crenopolis
- A unique character name
- Additional, exclusive armor dyes
- The ability to change your name
- Player-to-player trading (this is currently unavailable in the early access period)
